Our Fainting Bucks

OUR BUCKS

Our Myotonic Sires have been carefully chosen to compliment our does and improve our bloodlines from some outstanding lines with a long recorded history. We are continually researching as far back as we can for all goats we purchase as this knowledge gives explanation as to what each goat's history, what you can expect when breeding and in planning a solid breeding program. Our goal is to keep the outstanding qualities that we found in these gorgeous bucks while breeding up for our standards and the legacy of the SBAcres goats.

Our Up & Coming Bucklings *~* Spring 2006 Kidding

We have been unbelievably blessed this year in our future progeny bucks, dispite financial hardship while my husband finishes up his Masters and possibly his Doctorate and the loss of a stud which we had high hopes for in our breeding program. (Fortunately, God blessed his short stay with us and we were given quite a few kids, some of which look outstanding and we have high hopes that they will carry on his name. All his kids carry his outstanding good looks, sweet & inquisitive temperament and his genetic pattern mark, which is a cape or collar of black <smile> Gorgeous kids!)

So to recap our 2006 Spring Kidding, we were blessed with the biggest kid crop we've ever had, including the 1st set of triplets on our little hobby ranch! All 3 healthy and growing like weeds! All of our girls (with the exception of 2 maiden does) gave up twins that are even better than we've ever had!

Our bucks did us PROUD in the quality they gave us this year!!!!

After a tough wormy season in the hot humid swamp called Florida <wry grin>, esp with the girls we brought into our herd late in 2005, we have bounced back with unbelivably fast growing, well muscled/balanced kids ever! What has surprised us is that Our Does have not only raised these gorgeous kids but most have kept in wonderful condition not becoming near as skinny as many Does become after nursing kids for 3 months! (God does bless, doesn't he? Even when life throws you curve balls, good come out of everything if you look for it......)

And now we get down to the point of this little update, because of this years outstanding buckling crop, we have decided that we will be finding our Scrapper a new home (he is sold) after this next breeding season, as we have been blessed with quite a few bucks even better than dad, a back-up buck for Mr J and several promising young bucks out of our Zorro, the gorgeous buck that died the 1st of this year after having only been here for the beginning of 1 breeding season.)

Side Note: Somehow among all these boys, we have been blessed with about the same number of Does, with the last kidding being our 1st set of Triplets which we 2 does and 1 buck.

Out of our 4 keeper bucklings the LAST we will ever have to sell from our Zorro, we plan on selling 2 of the bucklings after we narrow the choice down, around the 1st of 2007.

If you are interested in one of these bucklings (pics to be added later) send us an e-mail. We would prefer not to take the top boys to market or our freezer because of our lack of room, so don't let these boys pass you by when the sale time comes!

I will be posting pics here of these promising bucks to tantalize and make you drool as you see them mature <smile>
